The British have been numerous, very early, to enjoy our region. They imported their lifestyle and their favorite sport : golf
As in Pau, it was on the initiative of the British colony that golf public Biarritz is inaugurated on March 14 1888.

It is near Pau in Billère they install the first golf course in France (established 1856) and the European Continent.

Attracted by these routes which lead sometimes to the edge of the cliff, the subjects of his majesty jostle the premises too. And so the golf becomes a beacon of sports in our department.
